SCHOTT PYRANOVA (El) Fire-Resistant Laminated Glass
Description
Product Description
SCHOTT PYRANOVA (El) is a high-performance, clear laminated composite glass engineered specifically for fire-resistant architectural applications. This system utilizes multiple thin panes of float glass to create a robust barrier that effectively prevents the passage of flames, smoke, and heat radiation, ensuring safety and visibility in critical building zones.
Bi-Directional Fire Protection
The unique structure of PYRANOVA (El) offers protection from both sides of the glass panel. In the event of a fire, the float glass pane closest to the flame source shatters upon impact, triggering the transparent fire-resistant interlayers to foam and expand. This reaction forms an immediate, opaque heat shield that blocks thermal transmission while maintaining structural integrity for the required duration.
Technical Performance
Designed to meet EI glazing requirements, this glass system ensures that the temperature on the non-fire side does not exceed 40°C above the ambient room temperature, with a maximum surface temperature limit of 180°C. The clear, low-iron composition maintains excellent optical clarity, allowing natural light to pass through while providing a neutral color tone that blends seamlessly with modern architectural designs.
